Hi All
I want to pick up an ignition switched live feed but I'm struggling to find an easily accessed connection so I'm thinking if going back directly to the wires coming from the ignition switch.
However there appear to be 3 wires from the switch that operate on the switch.
The brown is the live in to the switch but which wire would be the correct one to use for an ignition switched accessory?
My thinking is the thicker white wire but can anyone confirm this?

I found a switched live spare spade on a white/green trace in the top right hand corner of the dash Bob. Might be worth a look.

If your car doesn't have a radio fitted, the connector for the radio will be behind the blanking plate. You can buy adaptor plugs off eBay to connect to the standard wiring which obviates the need to modify the wiring on your car in any way.

Can't find the white/green trace wire and a radio is fitted but is wired direct so always live which seems daft.

GoMog has the chocolate t pot wiring diagrams. I use the radio feed. My radio has a USB port for a memory stick but you can also take power off it.

My thinking is the thicker white wire but can anyone confirm this? As suggested any light green/white wire (white trace) will be ignition switched Bob since that is generic code for such. I would avoid the probably unused one of that colour that runs for 50mm from ignition switch plug though. I would choose a feed already protected by low current fuse in main fusebox. As John V6 suggests the switched radio feed light green/white cable is protected by fuse 9 (radio/horn) so you could piggy back that. Depending on current drain from your extra device you may need to upgrade the fuse rating from 10 amp though.
