Thank you all for the kind words and advice, all much appreciated. I have seen a couple of articles on rev hang, I will see how it goes before doing anything, but as I also know about Tim Ayres I will probably take it there for both servicing and any additional work. It looks like a very good set up - just a pity they didn't have a car I was interested in, being so close.

12 years seem like a long wait Mark but as you'll discover, "the longer the waiting the sweeter the kiss" grin2
She's lovely, take your time in getting acquainted, be cognizant of the fact that all of them possess innate peccadillos.
Wishing you the best from a blizzardy April 5th Manitoba. snow cheers

Thank you all again for the very warm welcome from across the world! I should confess that whilst I joined 12 years ago, my attempt to buy a car then fell through, and I forgot about Morgans completely. I went back to my first love, Rolls-Royce and have had several since. But having now moved to the coast, it seemed opportune to think again about a proper open topped car, and having had MG and Triumph before, I thought a Morgan would be worthwhile. So far I am pleased with it, but apart from the old Daimler, which I will never sell, I do tend to move through cars quite quickly, so it may be for sale in a year or two! Maybe a Plus 8 next time?

Welcome to TM Mark... From RR to Morgan....! I think I read somewhere that the loudest sound in the RR was the tick of the clock.... In a Morgan, you would be lucky to hear the tick of the indicators in use given all the other ...err..sounds fighting for attention..... ENJOY smile thumbs

Welcome to TM Mark. As you are in Dorset, put September 13th in your diary, for the annual Fossilmog Picnic.
It takes place at Hive Beach (Burton Bradstock).
Usually there are between 65 and 90 Morgan’s, so a chance to meet other local owners.

Posting pictures is easy but a bit confusing the first few times, however the link is great as it has lots of pictures.

The workshop doing my MGB is 2.5 hours away and the car is currently at a trimming workshop another half hour though town, so about a 6 hours return journey to see the car plus the time at the workshops. Hopefully you don't have to go to Essex that often, I have visited my car 20 times so far, hopefully it will be finished soon.

My two favourite colours as well for a Morgan. If ordering new I would probably go Green but Peter's (Gambalunga), ivory car is stunning, plus he has done some great upgrades.
