We have a 2020 Plus Six. All comments based on our MY car.
Positives.. Design/style, drives well, driving position good and enough space/seat adjustment for tall or broad driver. Power/acceleration as needed. Autobox is good. On the road other road users are polite to the car/driver. Its a nice car to own and drive.

Negatives. Build quality patchy. A lot of issues should never have got through QC at the factory. Areas of our car have now been upgraded to later MY design. Suspension vastly improved over a Trad design, but not as good as it should have been, a SSL suspension upgrade sorts the issue. No parts listing/schematics available to owners. Little or zero DIY info available other than owners booklet that comes with the car.

I have had 2 Morgans (Plus 4 & Plus Four) and 3 Boxsters, 2 Caymans and several 911s. Also 4 Ferraris. One just cannot compare a modern Plus Four with a Boxster; or indeed with any other car. The Boxster is far more civilised, more luggage, a near perfect convertible hood, whereas the Morgan hood is rubbish; 19 minutes & 2 fingernails each time. BUT, I prefer the Morgan to the Boxster even though it is more expensive. I put up with the terrible hood as a redesign would not be possible without changing the car completely. Then it would not be a Morgan. The Morgan is far more special than a Boxster and, apart from the hood, is more fun, more style, more me

Interesting observations, for me its more a fundamental case of trying to compare apples with pears when comparing the .CX with modern sports cars.

Without question post the 1980's Morgan has made considerable strides in the quality of the materials used in its construction increasing the longevity of its cars, whilst having to adapt to more demanding statutory and r regulatory requirements that has lead to requiring increasingly more sophisticated engines with cleaner emissions controls. This has in my mind had quite an effect, firstly more powerful heavier engines have been adopted, with the downside of increased weight and reducing ground clearance and heavier steering and heavier cars, when compared with my first Morgan a 1985 4/4. So whilst outright performance has increased, I find the feel and driving dynamics of the cars has changed, losing some of the nimbleness and agility I used to enjoy with my first 4/4, but have as a result benefitted from an increased performance envelope of the car.

Morgan has for me moved on from a pretty primitive unrefined sports car to more of a very capable grand tourer with vintage looks and rain gear , that now bears comparison with many of the modern sports cars mentioned above. Whilst I'm sure I would enjoy a CX in the garage, my gut feel and instincts tell me that a 1985 4/4 would probably serve me better in satisfying those Morgan characteristics that first drew me to the brand.. Having said that I would enjoy a CX to do a continental tour but the '85 4/4 for some back country lane dashes.................

The other options you listed are built in large factories by Robots, the trad Morgan was built in a 100 year old shed by Roberts (and many others I'm sure..!!)
Surely the whole 'point' of a Morgan is to experience the feel and sensation of a vintage car.
By adding modern conveniences and refinements it just becomes another car, albeit one that looks ok and leaks........

I can only speak for Porsche, but you would be amazed how much of the car is built by hand and shocked how little isn't. All the leather and stitching is by hand and the fitment. Engine, chassis etc, all done by hand. Whilst robots and machines are there to help with the heavy lifting, there isn't much that is actually built by hand that say goes into a Morgan. Just saying,

With that said, I have driven the CX a few times now and a few weeks ago I spent a considerable amount of time sitting in the MY23 updated version. At first I was quick to pass judgment that I didn't see where the extra costs went, however, after sitting there for a bit more time I did not want to get out. The upgrades, IMHO, massively elevate the cabin and dare I say, has me second guessing if I should get one. In short, it just felt like it was in another league compared my first try at a CX. It's amazing what some lower dash padding, a satisfying push/pull knobbed glovebox and updates to the veneers can make.

Lastly, I had the joy of spec'ing my 4/4 and also two 718 Boxster variants. I found the commissioning process of the Porsche to be a notch above the Morgan in regards to how Porsche goes about it. Sadly the Porsche is gone and what kept the 4/4 safe was the emotional attachment I have with it. However, it was the Porsche that I grabbed the keys to first to the point the MOG hardly was used. Hence looking at the CX to replace the 4/4. It's the mental barrier of a 4cyl CX costing more than a GTS 4.0 Boxster that has me sitting where I am at. Or, better still, a 2.5 S Boxster which leaves me with 10k in the bank!

I have MY22 Plus 4. I also have a 3 Wheeler which is a different kettle of fish - it’s often a challenge but I do love it. I previously had two traditional Morgan’s both new and I would say for the money get the Porsche. My experience is that there are just too many problems with Morgan’s. Lovely cars but a pain in the arse. I wish had just got my name on the Lotus Emira list and forgot about the Plus Four. The build quality of Morgan’s for the money is poor.
