I removed the aluminum floor panels and got the new okoume plywood boards cut and fit yesterday. Today they get sanded and coated with a penetrating epoxy...

Thanks! And, in total, they are seven pounds lighter than the aluminum plates...

Good stuff wood! ... much underestimated these days.

I used West System resin to soak the edges and surfaces of my floorboards ... excellent stuff, much used on wooden boats.

Very familiar with West System and wooden boats. I used a lower viscosity penetrating epoxy that I've had great success with on the boards.

3/8" Marine ply coated in West -will last and not rot. Okoume (Gaboon) a good choice as it takes the resin well and remains light. I have done many years of testing with these exact materials .

Coated and ready to fasten. I'm going to use Fred Sisson's method using bolts and T-Nuts.
