Another annoyance is they can deliver all this junk mail, but lose letters and parcels...

Our Postal Service is a mess too especially in rural areas such as here, we can go days without delivery coupled with miss delivered mail.

I am getting emails from a range of mail systems all along a similar theme. Offering to sort out my website. That’s great as it is so bad it has never been seen. That is pure magic. It must be a super safe website due to being invisible. Even I don’t know it’s address.
My spam filter stops most but about a dozen a week get through.
I did start adding them to a blocked list but the sender address varies a lot.
They get moved straight to junk.
Phonecalls treated similar. No ID so no answer. None use voicemail....what a surprise!

I've been getting phone calls telling me that I can reduce my life insurance premium.
Total fiction, they are just assuming most people have life insurance and will seek the opportunity to save money.
How do I know this?

I don't have any life insurance.

Junk postal mail seems to have faded away, replaced by calls, texts and emails.

If I am having a bad day I do like a few moments vent which tends to cause them to disengage. Quite therapeutic.

If you are expecting a call then answer but do stay silent. The silence will result in the auto-dialling engine thinking it has hit voicemail and so it dials off. You can then just hang up and wait for the caller you did want.

My MIL is on end of life care & hasn't long to go. She can barely talk & can't move due to Parkinsons.
She used to get her prescriptions from Pharmacy 2U but stopped when she went into the care home.

I tried unsubscribing her from them but they keep sending emails as she hasn't ordered new prescriptions, this of course really upsets my wife who is monitoring her email as she has power of attorney.

So today I tried online to close the account. To do that she has to phone them & that is the only way to close it. I have sent them a very pointed email.

We had the same with Talk Talk it seems nearly impossible to cancel / close things these days.

The senior management are all on LinkedIn.

Power of Attorney really should cover that.

Send them all personal note through outlining how pi55 poor their company is dealing with critical care situations, they have been noted for it before.
