Got annoyed with myself yesterday. Have me when parking out of the garage the first scratch on the paint pulled. has someone experience with paint touch-up or should I go straight to a painter. Am grateful for any tip ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/04/23/CA87E9BC-60E9-4F9D-B909-744BC42267AC.jpeg)

I know how you feel Clemens, my car had almost identical damage caused by the ratchet strap when it came off the trailer. The factory provided the paint code and the local paint shop managed to stop the paint on the edge of the raised area on the arch. Mine is metallic and honestly you cannot see any sign of the repair in any light conditions. So I suggest taking the car to the paint shop. Good luck.

On very close inspection you will see it, but I can guarantee, after a while, you'll forget about it, and it won't even register with you. Good that it's not on a flat surface in the middle of a panel that would really stand out.

Sorry to hear Clemens. The best solution depends on your character. The location of the scratch and the fact it's a brand new car, I should suggest that because it's fortunately on a perfect spot for spot repair let have it done professionally, won't cost too much, and you can at least forget about it......!! Would be my choice! Good luck with it!👊🙋🏼♂️

Beware using Morgans own touch up paint pens, the one supplied for our Plus Six ( with correct paint code ) was nowhere near the colour. A paint repair specialist made up a touch up pen for us that matchs the cars paint.
Also, having dabbled with a few paint jobs on motorcycles and looking at the size of the scrape and its location, I would suggest a "smart" repair. In the UK there are mobile specialists that will come to your house and repair it on site for not huge money. That scrape could easily be repaired using an airbrush, although its worth noting that if there are any marks into the alloy, then it may need a little body filler first and then an etch primer so that the paint bonds correctly to any exposed alloy. Then the colour coat and clear coat goes on. I am sure it can be fixed to be a invisible repair.

Touch up paint isn‘t a good idea.
Ask for a specialist for „smart repair“. Mustn‘t be your dealer.
Look for good quantity and named bodyshops.

Clemens, really sorry to read this, we have all done it.
Considering the newness and value of your car I definitely think you need to have a professional outfit complete the job for you.
You probably have some very good "at your home" repair outfits in Germany and a recommendation is handy, your local car club will know of someone..

as has been written here several timies: Paint Touch would not be effektive. It looks like the allu at the wing also has some scratches so Best way is to as some paint shops.
I understand your feelings quite well - but there are more expensive mistakes one can make.
I remember that it took me only two days to let my hood scratch my New Morgan Park stearing wheel.
I did see this marks on every trip and when I did not look at tbe scratches I did feel them.....
