Got the 4/4 mostly back together. Fired up the engine and it ran fine, but the alternator is charging, luckily under warranty.
Then I noticed a drip under the car. The master cylinder that I rebuilt last year is leaking.
More delays! The problem with a DIY rebuild on a master cylinder is the slightest old score mark in the bore will ruin new seals very quickly

Thanks for a great set of pictures Craig Clemens - I like the orange one too it suits the model perfectly a real joie de vivre look about the package. Maybe the same shade as this Plus Six BHM had in stock a couple of years ago. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/04/15/plus-sixx.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/04/15/plus-six.jpeg) This is really a beauty Richard 👍😎

It's OK. More likely the 50 year old bore is just worn out (talking about the master cylinder now ) Morgan Motors of New England have some new original stock. They are checking them over since at that age they may need a rebuild due to the age of the rubber.

A couple of days ago actually, I found some nice vertical grain fir in the container, left over from a boat project years ago and got out the mounting rails for the new seats... ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/04/18/IMG_5749.md.jpeg)

Washed, detailed the interior and polished the exterior. Looks stunning....for an almost 10 year old car. Photos tomorrow.

Having had the Morgan for nearly a year, only using it in the dry, I haven't had much need to use the wipers. I encountered a short shower a week or so ago and found the wipers were very slow. So, today, as I was allowed some bimbling time, I removed, stripped and rebuilt the wiper motor. It's an original Lucas motor. When I took the cover off I found it full of very congealed and dry grease. No wonder the motor was struggling. A careful rebuild without too much grease and I now have working wipers. Hopefully I won't need them this Sunday for the Drive It Day.

Finally made the time to fit Rog’s bump stops/spring assists.
Having read all the posts on here about fitting it didn’t take too long and the tips about removing the rear wheels for access helped - it was quite obvious once I started
Anyway, once fitted, went for a ‘spirited’ drive on some uneven roads. OMG! What a difference - the car still bounces a little but no banging at all and so much more comfortable. Checked the rubbers on my return and clear evidence of contact so the extra comfort wasn’t imaginary.
Have a trip driving around Devon and Cornwall next week so be interesting to see what swmbo thinks. But I am well impressed

Finally got the car back together. Redid the rear suspension with the Rutherford kit, and added a 5 speed gearbox. First trip out on the road yesterday. I kept trying to start off in 3rd gear. It's going to take some time to get used to the 5 speed.
