Hi Jay, the fuse was in the Dash Board Fuse Box and was a 15 amp fuse situated in circuit No.3 marked as "Engine 15A".

Hi George.......let us know if you, the dealer or the factory ever get to the bottom of why the fuse blew in the first place! Good luck!!

Hi Jay I have requested that the car is looked at under warranty to find the reason for the fuse blowing.

Hi George. Good luck in sorting out your warranty issues....hope you get some proper response from the factory and RPM rather than the unsatisfactory "support" so far. I have to say I am looking at my warranty with fresh eyes!

If the fuse has only blown once it may mean that the fuse was faulty or the connection was not good causing a higher than normal resistance. At least it blew before something else did. How many times does it seem that you have only just replaced a light bulb when you need to replace it again. I know a fuse is not the same as a light bulb but, like any manufactured item, even one so simple, there must be a small percentage that are sub standard.

Trying to track the cause of failure of a fuse that has only blown once would be almost impossible.

If you do not have any more problems with this fuse I would stop worrying about it. If it blows again that is another story. In any case carrying a small selection of replacement fuses is always a good idea.
