In the next days I will visit my garage to check the radiator on my ´18 +4. It is leaking, not much, but it definitivly looses coolant fluid.
Because a lot of people here seem to have the same problem, I don´t think, that repairing is the ultimate answer. So I want to replace it with a better one.
I know Mulfab, what seems to be a good idea, but maybe there are other ideas around?
Besides the radiator, they also offer a "better" fan. Does anyone have experiences with it?
Thank you very much for helping!

Tom, I have the Mulfab radiator and fan conversion on my Plus 8 and it works very well and a far more efficient radiator, the fan only runs in stationary traffic, they are a very professional company to deal with and are very well established.

Ditto I have the Mulfab rad on my Roadster. I have a working plastic one that came out. I just didn't trust it

Tom you might have the same problem as I had.
My first thought was also, replace it.
But since it is a simple and cheap repair, especially now that the part is known; See link below.
I would go for this. I have been driving several thousand Km now without any problem after my fix.
If it's the same problem I'd go for it, replacement is still possible.
Good luck with it.

Tom, with the demise of Sifab you only really have Mulfab who do a quality aluminium replacement

You don't need the fan upgrade the OE will hardly come on once you fit the larger cooling capacity (same physical size) alloy radiator

Richard V6 and I have both got 2018 Roadsters that we had to upgrade the leaking rads, but stayed with OE fans

I was told that the original fan is more than good enough!

As suggested check the small right angle plastic union with narrow bore hose attached which fits into left hand top side of radiator, shown removed below.

[Linked Image]

If it's all dry around there though it's probably leaking from the bottom of rad where the plastic side tank interfaces with aluminium core - see below

[Linked Image]

Mulfab all aluminium replacement here. Old rad can be slid down after removing hoses and fixings by lifting off cowl and fan. This latter item is re-used on new rad. Best if car on ramp or well jacked up at front though.

Thanky you very much, guys!!! That helps. It leaks exactly on the same spot as on the last pic. I will check that on saturday.
But I have to say, even if it is just this little plastic part, I tend to replace the radiator with a Mulfab one. And stick to the standard fan.
Let´s see, what my workshop magician will say...

So the radiator is checked and it is not the plastic part. It is leaking and we decided, that it has to be replaced.
Allready send a mail to mulfab and I hope, that I can get one soon.
