I had to laugh when I saw our PM with the local councillors in Darlington looking at a pothole. Pothole I thought, thats not a pothole only a dirty mark. You want to come over to Gloucestershire to see real potholes that are deep enough to hide a small car!
I recently went over to RAF Fairford which can be approached via pothole alley. One guy recently hit a pothole at about 30 and the bump took the whole inside rim bead right off the wheel.
Take care out there on the street !!

My wife liked the pic on Faceache of some potholes in a village. Overnight someone had planted flowers in them smile

I bet they don’t have the ability to check and monitor road works and that contractor warranty periods routinely fade away leaving public finances to pick up the bill. doh

To be fair to the councils there is a road registration system that contractors have to use which registers who did what (badly) where.

You could always cut the (fibre) cable and then they would be back on scene pretty quick, try and avoid the humming electric ones, they tingle a bit laugh2 (That is a joke, I don't recommend vandalism but it has been known to work a lot quicker than formal requests for work in some critical cases.)

Pothole that's no Pothole, when I were a Nipper we had Potholes the size of the Grand Canyon. Fall into one of them and you could be lost for months. laugh2 rofl happy3
