We had a lady on recent MogFriends Derbyshire holiday who had exactly the same issue on same model. She had previously booked car in to AW to have some trim work so added fitting of Mulfab rad to work sheet. She was quoted around £940 + VAT from memory.

Had a very nice conversation with Mulfab and the radiator will probably be shipped tomorow!
As suggested, I have not ordered a new fan and will use the standard one.
Now I hope, it will be delivered soon! Nowadays it is a little adventure to order from the UK. You can get in one week... or in six weeks. Or you´re not getting it at all. So fingers crossed!!!

And thank you again for your support!

Good call using OE two speed fan. I believe the core is similar size on all Classic versions so if it cools a 3.7 Roadster adequately it will more than cool a Plus 4. Ironically this can lead to overheating though. On a couple of 4/4's I'm aware of the overcooling causes themostat to stay closed for longer causing engine temps to rise above normal on motorways until it catches up. I believe a thermostat of lower temp and less hysteresis solves.

Hi TomMog,

I recently helped a friend mount the Mulfab radiator on his sigma sport 4/4.
I can confirm the high quality of the product, compared to the original radiator.
I think I will order one soon, but that I will have it delivered to my B&B where I am staying near Goodwood, it will avoid the 30% import tax in Europe...

Below is the story of our assembly: coffee

If you're coming over via Dover, you could contact Brands Hatch Morgans, order it and collect it from them, they are only just off the M26, junction 2a. They are excellent and I'm sure will be only too pleased to help.
