I have moved my Jack to the space under the Spare Wheel and made a Base Plate for the Jack. It means I don't have to take all the luggage from the back shelf to get to it in the event I have a puncture. This is not my idea, I found it on TM but I can't re-find the thread and thought it may be useful to someone. Earlier Mogs have space for a box in this space but the addition of the rear valance with the reverse and Fog lights uses the space.

Started by removing the plate under the Spare and attaching Guttering Supports.
View from above once refitted.

This show one of the supports with the Plate on the right and the Reversing light bulb holder on the left.

This shows how I strapped together the Jack with some Folding Wheel Chocks and a small Leather Headed Hammer using Velcro strips and Releasable Cable ties (just what I had available at the time)

This shows how the Jack along with a small hammer and Wheel Jocks fit into the space.

It's then all wrapped up in a plastic Rubble Bag and held in Place with Bungie cord. The picture also show my homemade Jack Base Plate.

A bit of Velcro secures it to the Plate.

It's made from bits of plywood and Aluminium sheet I had spare, glued together. (Idea from YouTube)

With a cut out on the top Layer of Ply which the base of the Jack fits snuggly into.

I created a new thread rather than adding it to the "What have you done to your Mog Today" thread, hopefully it will aid anyone trying to find it in the future.

I've recently been thinking about moving my jack and all the stuff under the shelf to here. I'm glad you've done it, I might 'borrow your idea......
It was so much easier when it was in the alloy box under the bonnet.

Make sure the kit is weather proofed as it gets very wet in there.

Agreed, water finds every crevice - try putting all the stuff in a Dry Bag that boaters use

Also intend to treat the Jack Stand to a few coats of Yacht Varnish,

That was one of the ideas I looked at but the one I went with used the Guttering brackets, I made some notes and copied the pictures when I found it and parked it for a future project. No doubt the idea was buried in a thread like the one you highlight, pictures re-posted below.
