The heater take off ( under the carburettor) on my car disintegrated some time ago and for many years I have been trying to source a replacement. In the interim, I have disconnected the heater and bypassed the junctions. My car has the ford 1600 cross flow engine

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have you found a solution ??

A shivery

Do you mean this bit under the carb? I think Burton Power do them - I think they screw in/out. Let me check.

Here is a photo of the one which has disintegrated

I tried to attach a photo, but the system says it is more than 1000 bites (???) not sure how to proceed

You will either need to post it in one of the photo sections, or upload it to a photo hosting site (e.g. www.tm-img.com - follow the instructions for posting in the instructions for use page). You can then add a link to the hosted photo so it appears in your post.
The ability to add photos directly in a thread was stopped some years ago in an attempt to resolve issues with the forum running extremely slowly.

If you want to email it to me for speed I can post it (my email is on my user page). However, It is fairly straightforward to use the TM software that Graham linked to.

Not sure if you're on FB but there's a very good Kent/Xflow group on there who may recognise the part - https://www.facebook.com/groups/680123115377846

I'll post it, and see what response there is.
