One of my winter projects was the installation of an aluminum radiator and will be switching to G13 coolant. I had the water pump and timing gear cover off to replace the front main seal, and the inside of the water jacket was surprisingly clean and rust free. I'm thinking just a plain water flush and drain, then fill with 50-50 coolant and distilled water. Thoughts?

Good idea to buy a refractometer (cheap on eBay) to measure coolant freezing temp. I was surprised to find the factory coolant protected to -40°C so following rad change put the fresh Mannol AF12+ coolant in neat as recommended, to give same.
