turning the engine over also forces a lot of oil up into the air intake, and then I have a fog machine. Thought of the cutoff switch, but that oil intake line is not easily accesable at all.
and to think, my 1978 gold wing had over 140,000 miles before I had a problem with one carb flooding....

I have not measured the time, maybe 2 lots of 5-10 seconds then checked and went from min dipstick to max but could have been up to max before I checked (after the first cranking burst) and at the rate in your video, the oil in the sump would possibly be scavenged back to the tank before the engine starts normally anyway, it takes a few goes if left My engine fires very quickly, maybe 5-10 seconds maximum.

Oil in the venturi is a mess at minimum and is a contributor to plugging up thing and creating oil buildup and carbon buildup where it should not be. I stopped that by directly venting that away from the engine, into a catch can or straight out to dump into the drip tray that resides where I park it.

that is an option. I think I need at least a quart catch can - LOL. The other thing that happens with that oil into the intake, it also really dirties up the oil in the system
to think, I really wanted one of Pete's 3 wheelers, but when not available, had it my head that Morgan was a quality company

or turn the engine over with the throttle pressed so it doesn't start until the oil is back in the tank Yes! My car doesn't seem to have a wet sumping issue, but I've been doing the hold the pedal down for the first ten seconds or so of cranking then firing it up. And perhaps check out my post from a few years ago: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/647169/breathing-without-slobbering#Post647169. Adding the air/oil separator precludes oil in the intake tract.
