Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) Manifold for SU carbs on Crossflow engine?

Hi

Did some Morgans come with a Ford Crossflow (Kent) engine with sidedraft SU carbs rather than a downdraft twin choke Weber? If so, any pictures, info or such an SU inlet manifold for a Crossflow engine for sale please?

Short answer is no

Crossflows don't run well on SU's for some reason.

Plus there could be clearance issues between carb and bonnet and if you end up having to modify the bonnet, you may as well fit side draft Webers/Dellorto's

Might went all right with a single HS6 but it had a Shorrock supercharger to interface
