Less than half the price of a new Plus Six and two extra cylinders, 3,600 miles, that's a lot of car for the strictly outdoor owner . Plenty money left for getting a roof fitted if needed. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/05/04/sp.jpeg) This will be an interesting one to watch too. £50,000 with 7 days to run. OK TM'ers, where do you think it will trade? 68k I'll be brave..tbh in todays market here right now I think it's about right but we'll see soon enough. 55k and a day to run !

The problem is that the roof isn’t an easy fit because the Speedster is missing the rear roof connector points (some MMC employees have an ‘interesting’ name for the connector but I won’t write it here!); therefore, it requires not just a new windscreen, frame and side windows but also modification to the bodywork and that is before the roof itself and the frame. I looked into it and £10k+ was a ballpark figure. Love the look of the Speedster but it is compromised for road use without a face shield/helmet… unless you are willing to take a bug or debris to the face at speed If I am not mistaken, this Speedster was at a London dealer, up for sale at circa £68k - so if someone pays that at auction, they should have bought it direct from a dealer and had the protection that comes with that.

I assume the most costly bits to retro fit are the rear deck holes for the old BL bonnet socket catches and release mechanism, the Steve Simmons system used surface fixed over centre levers at the back, so perhaps an alternative route for the buyer

This will be interesting. It was acquired in March 2020 on BaT for US 47,000. "Subsequent work included installing a revised bevel box and a Morgan Customs fuel system along with Dyanamat sound deadening, a rear mudguard, a M3W Services rear brake disc, and additional gauges mounted to the center stack" I wonder why the speedo doesn't record the correct milage....? There appears to be a problem here as they record the actual milage is unknown, very strange She's mine and there is a ghost in the machine. After the first year or so that I had it, the factory VDO odometer adds mileage while the car is sitting in storage. No idea why and it has not been consistent. I added the digital GPS Speedometer / Odometer which sync's very closely with the mileage recorded in the ECU and accessed through S&S ProTune software. Still remains a mystery to me, but mileage 3900, to err on the safe side posted the VDO mileage. Bid to US$ 41,500.00 But NO SaleCuna2016, sorry to see this result. These things are unique and once sorted (expensive and frustrating as it must be) should be a highly prized, fun classic. I think you can put this down to the declining reputation of Morgan for product quality and customer support that affects the entire product range. Not what you need to be successful in the U.S. market or any market for that matter.... Cuna2016, I think we were all a bit surprised. Enjoy your M3W Good Sir while the future of the car market and the economy is sorted out...... (Hopefully)

Well, "Tension mounts, as indeed does Derek" Let's see where this finishes up. Sorry for the obscure "Derek & Clive" reference.....
