Thanks for the maritime link Nestor, we had El Galeon in port at nearby Brixham for the recent pirate festival, a wonderful vessel.

From Fort Augustus to Kylescu today. Started off cold & misty with drizzle, but the weather has cleared as we came North.
The drive up the west side of Loch Ness is epic. The drive to Ullapool is epic, neither being too busy yet. The drive from Ullapool to Kylescu is a riot of roller coaster inclines & hairpin bends. The road surface is a mix of stretches of new tarmac stretches with sharp undulations, and many bends with broken surfaces, loose fill, and potholes.
But from near Inverness to Kylescu I bet we didn't see 100 vehicles. And it's a long way. I can't recommend this place (Highlands) enough.
Sure its hard getting here. But the driving experience is beyond belief on mostly empty roads. But don't come in July & August.

Very true Dave. The pass to Applecross is epic.

I was Belle ahead of the #3 son wedding next week.

A dark green/grey Mog passed us heading South over Kylescu Bridge today but I was taking a photo of a Stag, so only caught a glimpse. The Stag had 4 legs.

Sally and I went to Baddesley Clinton today. Lovely drive in the yellow car - first run out this year ooo
Sitting by the lake getting a photo or two and along came Keith, he of Wheels in Winslow fame thumbs smile He also reminded me the event is on again this year. (I'd better get my entry downloaded!). Saw no Morgans on our trip, just an owner and his swmbo

240 miles south in the Roadster today, it's driving superbly at the moment and I have to admit the cruise control makes that distance on crappy uk roads it bit more bearable

Yesterday, Sunday 21st May, I took a run out to the Lytham Hall Classic & Performance Car Show

A few pictures below :-
[Linked Image]
Front row of the area where I was parked up

I was on the second row, amongst an eclectic mix
[Linked Image]

Here's just a few pics of cars I chose to photograph - Didn't take too many as there must have been in excess of 300 vehicles all told

Nice MG TF I was parked next to - had been fitted with a 5 speed Sierra gearbox (guy still had the original if he ever comes to sell)
[Linked Image]

Also and MG TD (same story with the gearbox as above)
[Linked Image]

Rather nice Merc 300SL
[Linked Image]

Still not sure if I like the "chameleon" paint scheme on this TVR
[Linked Image]

Rather nice Escort Mexico
[Linked Image]

Fancy at Duesenberg? Think I prefer the Interceptor behind it to be honest

Met a guy I used to work with 20+ years ago with is Jag. I tried it out for comfort............ rather nice actually

There was one other Morgan in attendance that I saw - Scott66 off the forum in his Roadster

I'm glad you like it Jon. I find it very helpful on all the boring roads

Interestingly there are a lot of Jaguar XKs touring the Highlands. I don't think it's organised, because we see them one at a time, a long way apart. Motorhomes are the vehicle of choice apparently, on roads which couldn't be less suited to them.
