I paid £281 with Headley last August for my 2017 4/4 with 3000 miles with agreed value.

Does anyone here insure unlimited mileage? ..... living so far up makes 3/5 k a bit limiting .... just nipping down to see my nephew in Yorkshire eats up 1k without much running about when I'm there .... and a factory visit with a modest tootle round the Malverns would see off a half a 3k annual limit in one go. Just about to insure the 4/4 so this is an interesting thread for me.

Yes, I have my Roadster on unlimited mileage with Headley. Can't remember the actual price hike but it was very little, were talking £20 ish.

Yes, I have unlimited mileage cover on my 4/4 with Headley. Last premium was £315. Includes rescue, salvage, and legal cover.

Not a lot of point in comparing quotes across the land, as so much depends on your postcode. A friend who lives only 2 miles away, but in a more upmarket location, can never meet my quotes for similar vehicles. Always at least £50 higher.
Comparing percentage increases over the year is of greater value.
Incidentally, our two tintops renewals in the past few weeks were actually lower than last year...only by a couple of pounds, but at least, lower.

Last July Jill paid £164 to insure the Morgan with Adrian Flux, £60 less than I pay them to insure my 602cc Pembleton!

Is this because Jill is a vicar?.

I have been Philip Bell/Fortis and then Headley/Hiscox who bought his business for 37 years. Always had great service. This year the policy due March 1 has increased by 26% to well over £400. (No insurance claims in the last 12 months).

I have a quote from Gott and Wynne which I will take up.

Has car insurance shot up generally? My everday car renewal was the same as last year?

Unlimited mileage added about £20 to my policy with Headley when added in 2015. Last renewal was £377 including Legal Expenses & Morgan Rescue - agreed value, unlimited mileage. Renewed in August 2021. The previous year had been £377 also.

In this business I find there are few prizes for loyalty. Returning customers are generally seen as the uninformed who will accept the new price. Lowest costs over time are usually achieved by switching nearly every year to gain the new customer discount.
