Is it normal to have to take the bottom nut off the shock absorbers and move them out of the way to get the grease gun to attach to the nipple on the front suspension. Or have I got the wrong type of gun. Thanks

William, if you turn the steering lock to lock you will gain better access

I needed to do this prior to installing the remote greasing system.

You would be very unlucky if you couldn't articulate your grease gun to fit square onto nipple whatever angle it sat at. The nipple threads are taper I believe so I would be careful tightening nipple if it doesn't move easily. On one of the lower nipples on my car I have to hold grease gun upside down but it always works.

You can also remove the nipple and add a washer so the angle is right. I assume here that you have angled nipples. The remote greasing removes all those issues but you still need to get under the car for the clean up & spanner check
