Two questions for the price of one!
1. The piece of carpet behind the seats that goes against the back of where the spare wheel - or not - goes keeps coming away. I have tried various types of high quality double sided tape but it won't stay stuck to the back of the carpet. Has anyone else had the same issue and if so what have you used.
2. Has anyone had their headrests angled so they sit closer to the head? not so bad on my seat but swmbo has had back surgery and has to have her seat quite reclined. The headrest is nowhere near her head so offering no real protection.
Grateful for thoughts and/or suggestions

Regarding your carpet. I used Livedale Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive. It was given to me by a local upholsterer when I needed to secure velcro tape to the rear seat squab and tray. Even sticks leather to leather. Seems to be available from several sources e.g. https://www.bstfabrics.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-Spray-Glue-Adhesive

For the carpets I would use these :- https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-50-carpet-fastenersThere are also other types of carpet studs you could use. For the head rest I would attach some kind of "pillow". I think I would experiment on spare head rest first.

Hi,
I went old school and sewed it to the carpet.

The safest option for the headrests would be to get one of the Morgan trim co's to make you a pair of 'neck rolls' that just slip over the existing headrest pole
Don't try bending the pole as it's thicker walled than usual tube and is a crash critical item

I agree the headrests are nowhere near your head under normal circumstances but would come into play to limit whiplash in a crash. Below is an example from Allon White of neck rolls they offer, as suggested by Jon. ![[Linked Image]](https://allonwhite.co.uk/data/img/product/list/_cache/ac3270356d893cdcb9bbe4d866bdda2b.jpg)

I had Allon White make me a pair of neck rolls. Their service was exceptional, but the rolls needed to be much deeper to support my neck at least, and they sat rather loose on the headrest pole and moved around too much. I am sure they will tailor something with a shorter yoke and more padding if required.

The head rest is not to rest your head on but to protect you from whip lash. Neck rolls can act as a pivot point to break your neck in a violent collision, they should only be used if they position immediately behind your head.

I agree with Keith about the neck rolls. Friends of ours had this made for their Morgan, and when they moved it on gifted it to us. A coat (or two) of leather paint and it matched our interior. Far better than the neck rolls IMO. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/06/head_rest.jpeg)

I have had the neck rolls from new.(12Yrs) & find them very good. When I got them from Alton Whites, I did ask about whiplash & was told they are soft enough not to cause a problem. Do we know if any Morgan has been rear ended, where a neck roll has caused a more serious injury ?
