Hi, C2RM

Morgan secure this with tacks and they are minute! probably about 1/4" possibly 5/16" and they really are not long enough. I replaced them with intermittently spaced velcro and stuck it to the carped with contact adhesive (amazing gloop).

I am looking for a couple of head restraints for my 1997 Plus 4. The seats have an elongated oval hole very similar to MG Midgets head restraint holes. Anyone know if someone has a pair in black?

If I recall a Morgan ownerI was chatting to at the weekend said he had used MG headrests in his car....He used leather shoe paint to match them to his (grey) seats ... looked like they were factory....MG ones might be easier to source and black a common colour.

Any BL restraint from the MG/Triumph era will work. MGOC sell new ones in leather.

There are at least two shapes. The D shape, (from the side), and a slimmer version from later years.

The metal stalk may need shortening, depending on the source car.

I spent ages finding a good headrest. My favourite comes from a landrover. It's taller than any of the others and situates itself in a proper place to actually work as a restraint. Well worth searching out.

Thanks all

Super strong spray adhesive ordered for the carpet👍

As for the headrests, I know they are not actually for resting my head on and I do have neck rolls but would still like if they were further forward

Some interesting options to explore re adding padding to current headrests and also exploring alternatives

More work required on my part now😀

I improved my neck rolls position slightly, by clipping a short length of cable tidy around the head restraint pillar. This just raises the position of the neck roll.

Now that is a sensible solution.

the neck rolls look great.
Morgan Belgium sells the same, but a bit overpriced in my opinion.
I will see with my saddler craftsman so that he can make a custom model call
