For me ... Aston followed by the TR ... already had a Scimitar so not a contender ... would fancy something untried ! 🙂

I do like that Scimitar - always had a soft spot for them. There was a house on my paper round that always had a nearly new Scimitar which sparked my interest in them. And then Middlebridge set up in Beeston on my commute route when they took over the rights. Driving past and seeing cars on their forecourt was interesting. I cannot remember how long Middlebridge lasted though. Quite a bit of the Middlebridge story here Paul, it was mostly news to me..only 77 being built tells the story really.. Thanks for the link Richard. Fascinating stuff.

Another trip down memory lane. Forecourt of the Chequered Flag , Chiswick some time in the 70's. That's a good forecourt, the TR6 for me as I never tried but often lusted. Those wing mirrors on the GTE  Bet it had a tow bar as well - for caravan view maybe. Would be the Aston for me although not a fan in those days.

I'll bet you are spot on Richard, the Aston would have been my first choice a few years back until Neilda of this parish reported that his ownership was not impressive in any department.

I've had a couple of SE4 Scimitars and funnily enough had been thinking I wouldn't mind another one , especially after my son recently sent a picture of one he'd spotted . With a 25 gallon petrol tank in the back the handling did "vary "depending on the amount , which is probably why my then wife put the last one in a ditch ðŸ˜
