I would propose a different set of two - although two will not be enough:

1) Pattern matching algorithms that we use for e.g. "traffic sign recognition", or putting adverts...
2) generative AI that had the huge public effect since Chat GPT. Much earlier it was used for e.g. AI art.

Whatever mission your AI is on - why will be responsible if it gets unleashed. For your dog that is quite clear;-)

Facial recognition drone the size of a shoe box with a C4 charge and a hunting algorithm ... will follow you (and just you) relentlessly, sniffing you out via public cctv and social media ... recharging via solar perched on rooftops ... tireless until it gets close enough to have the wired-in satisfaction of a job well done!💥

Stuff of nightmares and every element already exists

Though after years of constant bombardment by pop-ups mirroring your every whimsical click you might just see it as a blessed release!! 🙂

Smash that phone! ... cancel that internet ... you know it makes sense!! 😁

I’d like to ask my Morgan to predict and tell me which bit is going to fall off next

As regards the young adult, a pertinent question that is often asked to explain some attribute or other is: " Nature or Nurture ? "

The same question may be asked about AI.

But despite the head-scratching, that question never seems to get a definitive answer.

My 4/4 is telling me to check the front wheel nuts and bearings by sending vibes up the steering column to the steering wheel. The 1 & 3/16th inch box spanner arrived new in the post this afternoon, but this won't be shown to the 4/4 until the weekend. I have to be a little passive aggressive until we are both ready for one another.

Lets see how they deep fake that then!

In a German TV car programme, voice commands were tested in various cars.

Here are two examples (literally translated):

Car 1
Presenter to the car: XXX it's raining.
Reaction of the car: "It turns on the windscreen wiper".

Car 2
Moderator to the car: YYY it's raining.
Response of the car via the voice announcement (in a harsh tone of voice): "NO!"

Note from me: The car was right! It was dry during this test.

I’d like my Morgan to have the voice of HAL

“I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid that squeak is because you forgot to oil the leaf strings during last years service”

“My names Stewart not Dave”

“I’m sorry Dave, but I’m incapable of making an error”

I think it is only a matter of time before AI lawyers start to take group action for losses incurred against miss-selling claims etc made by AI product promotional clusters. AI lawyers may be looking for every legal infraction and breaking of regulations, control standards byelaws etc and creating potential class actions by contacting those affected (even if they are unaware of the event), so they can pursue legal recourse.

Potentially AI can monitor public/social/business/taxation interactions for government agencies and penalise every infraction of the law........collecting data from CCTV, dash camera's, social media and so on and instituting legal proceedings. Further control can be exercised thru digital currency such as the EU proposes for the Euro......eg .restricting or limiting access to funds by, disallowing payment for certain types of spending on eg tobacco, alcohol or what ever crusade they wish to pursue at any point in time.....if you are concerned about the current nanny state, AI has the potential to take it to a whole new level.
