One of my contacts in the racing scene informs me that the new MD has withdrawn all factory support for the Aero Racing Challenge series.
I have been out of racing for so long that I am not sure how much support, financial or other, the factory has been contributing, but this seems to fall in line with MMC looking away from its traditional customer base to newer (more affluent?) markets for the new range. My views on this concur with those expressed in an earlier thread

Maybe it means they will longer support the Morgan challenge… https://morgan-motor.com/morgan-motorsport/Goes against what they say on their website, odd decision as I doubt it was to costly..

When times are tight you look at what aligns to your goals as a business.
If the business motive is the long term reputation of the brand and customer then you remain vested in the supporting activities.
If the business motive is to maximise shareholder return then it's a spreadsheet ? However it is also the jobs and the people at the factory which should not be underestimated.
I speculate......
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

MMC is now so different from what many of us, here on the forum, remember. Tempus fugit! :  I will be intrigued to see how MMC develops. I hope that they retain the wonderful levels of craftsmanship. I hope that they don’t undervalue their amazing history, of which racing has been an integral part. But, realistically they don’t give a st**f for my opinion. A 73 year old, who has owned a 4/4 for 18 years is not their target market.’ Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Does that leave Aston Martin and McLaren as the only UK manufacturers of cars involved with Racing?
I think Morgan is moving from racing to posturing.
