I can't find anything in the manual. I also think that the key is not recognized.
Heinz I will try your tip with the parking light.
Go later again with a multimeter in the garage. Will check the baterie and the fuses. If the battery is really dead, the vehicle should start with a jumper cable.

Doubt whether the battery is an issue from the info provided. Extremely easy to check with a voltmeter though which should read 12.7 volts at the battery if fully charged. Residual surface charge will have this a little higher if car has just been used or taken off charger.

My first thought was immobiliser though.

So was in the garage and tried the following

1. tip from Heinz the parking light turned on: No lights

2.battery measured with a voltmeter: Result battery has 13.5 V and should therefore be full.

3. The main fuse measured: 0 Ohm ... conducts and is therefore not defective

4. tried the spare key with the remote control. Car still dead

5. disconnected battery and reconnected. Everything works again 😀

I know I've read this here on the forum before that someone has solved such a problem with disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Whether that will reset the immobilizer I don't know, but seems logical. A CX Morgan is like a computer... if it does not work, the very first thing to do is unplug it 😉 .
In any case, the parking light with the ignition off now also works again.

Glad you got it sorted Clemens and an answer if it ever happens again. Looks like the immobiliser tied itself in a (electrical) knot.

Good news Clemens, as your car is still in warranty I would advise your dealer of the situation. I have found with our Plus Six that Morgan often come across issues and come up with fixes but do not let other owners
be aware, that is, until their own vehicle fails. .. If the fault is recorded Morgan may listen to you if it happens again in the future..

Always have a 13 mm open-end wrench with Jens to disconnect the battery. Just picked one up at the hardware store and put it in my Morgan travel repair kit. You never know 🤗

I will do that Dave. I already called my dealer this morning to see if they have any idea what the problem is and if I can fix it myself. I will also let the dealer know the result.

Ditto … if nothing else works, hard reset and reboot the operating system
