Hi Chris

I bought the Black titanium wrap from Agriemach and have to say when it was first put on it looked fantastic. After less than 100 miles the black faded to a sort of golden colour at the hottest points on the exhaust. To be honest it looked a mess. They have sent me some high heat exhaust paint which sorted it but the shininess of the teflon has gone. Do the teflon wraps retain the shiny look throughout the life of the product?

At the risk of getting flamed, anyone looking at wrapping their exhaust should do some research. One of the things you might find is that tubular manifold manufactures will not warranty headers that have been wrapped. Or that Nascar teams used to wrap their headers until they figured out it significantly reduced their life.

It's really a bad idea for a dubious aesthetic improvement. Better solutions are available, or just let the pipes go au natural.

I am sure you’re right but wraps were originally put on by KrazyHorse. You would think they would have known better? Anyway as for warranty this car is 11 years old so not applicable in my case just damn expensive if anything happens but I agree there are better solutions just soooo expensive. I tried the au naturale but didn’t like it. Valuable advice for the future - thanks.
