My ECU didn't have the lead & was on the other side. When I had issues Brian Miller's garage in Wycombe had an adaptor

Not surprised John, different ECU , mine is MKC20034E (rare) and car has electronic ignition, I believe yours had coil packs?

Found it! Exactly as pictured! Absolutely no idea what to do with it but the fact it’s there I find strangely reassuring

Tony I have the ECU reader and software to tune the car, readings from lamda sensor can be read and reveal your cars running, it is also possible to weaken or richen the mixture to the engine.

If you are part of the MogFriends club this and many more tools are available to members, including a car lift which raises the car approx 3-4 feet so easy access under your car!

Thanks Rob. I had a look at the club, it seems a great idea and is certainly interesting. Unfortunately, I’m a bit North to take advantage of the tool loan or social aspects. Shame though!

Quick question on the port and reader. Would it enable adjustments to the tick over speed? I’ve a slightly fast (1050 rpm) and no means of slowing it down.
