The old solution to try first...a reboot of the computer! Disconnecting power ( battery) did the trick.

Was in China for a good week. The Morgan was in the garage and wanted to take a little spin tonight. Again, the remote could not open the car. Everything dead. Thought the problem is well known. Battery like the last time disconnected and reconnected. Still nothing works. Vehicle is completely dead. Now I am at a loss 😲

What a pity Clemens! Just to be sure I always connect it to the trickle charger, have a magnetic connector fitted for the CTEK. But a week is very fast.....!! redcard

We had exactly the same issue occur on a new plus 4 on the M3W Grindelwald trip last year.
Driver stopped to put the hood up.
Went to restart car and it was completely dead - nothing would work except the clock was doing odd things...
After 20 mins of checking stuff such a fuses etc, a certain ex MMC employee (!) managed to retrace his steps and find us - he called one of the factory tech guys (it was a factory press car and it was on a Saturday) and they basically told us to disconnect the battery, wait 15 mins and reconnect.
We did just that.
Hey presto - worked perfectly....

Thanks stevo666 for the hint. It actually worked. Disconnected the battery, waited 15 minutes and then reconnected the battery. The result: the Morgan came back to life :-)

The question that comes to my mind is about the cause. This is already the second time that this error pattern has occurred. After about a week of parking in the garage, the Morgan is dead and can be brought back to life by disconnecting the battery. This can not be a permanent condition.

You could always have a battery isolator switch fitted. It would save having to disconnect the battery and also prevent discharge while the car was idle.
