Caroline is waiting for a NHS referral to a pain clinic to help with her lower back pain.
She has been told by the GP that they have no idea..will go privately.

If the NHS was run as a business it would have been declared bankrupt years ago. It makes MMC look slick and efficient...don't get me started on "Junior Doctors" striking for more.

Peter, we got a letter to book an appointment on line but when I got the page to book it said no appointments available go to previous page and select another clinic but there were no other clinics so I phoned the appointment centre to be told that clinic is not making appointments ??????????????????????

John, the greatest privatisation of the NHS and other Civil Service functions was undertaken by Blaire's Labour. the rental agreements signed by Labour never allowed for the facility/asset to come into public ownership and lead to a major reduction in other front line service budgets in order to fund the annual rental costs going forward. The Tories as those 10/20 year contracts came up for renewal actually brought many of those rented facilities back into public ownership

Absolutely, I never understood the reasoning for the top/down reorganisation of the NHS. The biggest issue we face was the change in procurement policy, first introduced by the Tories but basically a EU requirement, that has lead to nearly £200 billion being wasted in procurement projects which basically excluded SME's small companies, sole traders etc from applying for Government contracts.

Now that the real joke, excluding small efficient, often more versatile smaller companies usually with a much lower cost base from qualifying to bid for contracts.
