I can well imagine that expectations can exceed delivery for some who initially buy into the idea of Morgan ownership, though I guess there can be many reasons discovered in time whereby that which might be considered an indulgence might be best moved on when circumstances might change.. My Porsche had seven owners in it`s first nine years...yet it could quite easily been mistaken for a new machine..
I would like to echo Rich+8`s comments, in that I ever considered myself to be a bit of a CARsonova, a lovely set of curves or musical exhaust note would ever turn my head. I also consider myself very fortunate to have enjoyed an occasional affair with interesting machinery over quite a few decades, thus I have managed to avoid adopting puritanical attitudes towards any one marque of machine (-:

During my lengthy research as to which Morgan, it started out with the idea that the +8 from the point of view of available grunt, but I had a real soft spot for the Ford engined 4/4`s as perhaps more suited to B road fun... Hmm..? I ended up the proud owner of a quite special +8, though still have a soft spot for a 4/4... (-:

I sold the Morgan because it just wasn’t for me. I loved the classic shape but that’s about all.

I have gone back to a historic vehicle in that I have replaced the Morgan with a MGC GT.

Good choice (I have a BGT) - and polar opposite to the Mog.
