There’s a movement in wales to attach a red ribbon to the front or your car as a symbolic protest agains the impending 20mph limit. Inspired by the 5mph red flag is fairly common in Buckley where the trial was held but not wide spread.
No I don’t display a red ribbon on any of my cars ! But I will consider it next month There's that strange councillor in Buckley who stands with a speed gun by the side of the road. Him and his bunch of coffin dodging mates. Got me doing 32 mph in my mates bin truck. Nearly had a wagon full of dermot tipped in his drive. He even took it upon himself to phone my mate to complain about my attitude. Arwyn

Hi Arwyn If a bona fide Community Speed Watch clocked you at 32 in a 20 zone, a warning letter from Plod will be winging its way to you. If it was in a 30 zone they clearly have nothing better to do. PS. A red flag campaign is a great idea to give the powers that be the red card.

Had to pick up some nuts and bolts so swished the gravel-road dust off the old girl and set out ... 8 mile trip but mysteriously managed to clock up 65 on the way home!! 🙂 ... perfect day here sunny, warm and a balmy breeze .... was idyllic sweeping along between the hedges on the back lanes smelling the grass and hearing the birds singing .... Yes they are Arwyn,
And what authority does that dopey councilor have to carry out that ridiculous behavior. The local authority might have control over the police but they, the police have the legal right to carry out speed control/prosecution. he's creating a traffic distraction which could result in a death and to approach a member of the public without authority is possibly an assault crime.
