Should have worn the bike waterproofs in the Mog!

I did from time to time but the HD badges did look slightly out of place, and wearing the body armour creates a strange look and almost ape like stance.

Ah, I have simple unbranded jacket and trousers that go over my normal kit. The jacket doesn't have a hood so perfect for the Mog,

A large gang of Taffmoggers went to Ireland in 2008 our brand new plus four four seater's wet radio went up in smoke as we got off the ferry, one of our ladies bought a three quarter wax coat as her knees were getting wet and an Aero 8 owners wife bought some towels to stop some water ingress. There are many tales from the trip which we often talk about It's a Morgan you either get it or you don't. Seeing 12 morgans pulling over at the same time with various degree of proficiency getting their roofs up in the pouring rain can be quite funny. Pressing a switch is for nancy boys or Porsche owners....... Em

The Irish welcome...four seasons in one day. I must admit the roof switch on most of my cars over the years, has been quite tiring to use, but never considered myself a nancy boy. LOL! I don't miss for one moment trying to stretch a cold hood over the fasteners in pouring rain, blessing the opportunity presented to me.

years ago, we were reading a Morgan review in our newspaper of choice and felt a little tired of the can only put the hood down on a convertible criticism. So we decided to keep a diary of the weather, using simple rubber stamps: one for rain all day, one for dry. We only had one car then, the Morgan, so it went out in all weathers. After two years it transpired that we erected the hood on just thirty three days.

What’s the record time for getting the hood up, 9-stud vs easy-up?

After having both, the easy-up is better than the lift a dots, but the real winner was the Simmonds’s hood on the Plus 8 which we had for over twenty years.

Yep, the Simmonds hood is great in terms of water-tightness, but I do find it a bit of a pain at higher speeds in the wet, I get a lot of wind noise from the clips over about 50mph. The ideal would be something that had the Simmonds U channel but with internal clips to hold it down.
