I know it's been covered a few times in the past and I have read a lot of the previous posts. My factory antenna on 2016 Plus 4 seems very feeble in construction and really doesn't give a great signal.

I would like to fit a DAB unit but at the moment my aerial is not sufficient for good FM transmission so the option of putting a splitter on it for DAB will just not work.

A better quality panel aerial is my preferred option but for the life of me cannot seem to find one. I know I can order a new Morgan replacement cheaply but really want to upgrade the aerial. Any views on a way forward /

Fitting an active splitter for DAB and FM aerial inputs may help. Remember also that DAB signals are transmitted on a much higher frequency so the efficiency of aerial is unpredictable for them. The redundant yellow wire on radio connector is reserved for the old style electric aerial and forms a useful radio switched power feed for an active (amplified) splitter.

I seem to recall that PeterJ investigated/upgraded his aerial to accommodate DAB a while back.

He might be along shortly or you could drop him a U2U .....

Are you sure it hasn't disconnected ? the one on my 2013 +4 works perfectly and I don't even extend it.

All checked and tight, might just replace as starting point
