When we had the series 1 Aero with the gangsta roof we could actually put it up without getting out of the car with no tension, THe 2008 four seater once you got the knack as long as you keep all your fingers away from the myriad of cantelevers was as quick as an easy up hood. The new plus6 is going to be used more we have decided in all weathers so a soaking from time to time is to be expected or move to extremely sunny Shropshire. Em

We started Morganeering back in early 2013 so we are relative newcomers compared to some on the forum. Our first was a 2011 Plus 4 with a never flex easy up hood. Wasn't too easy in the cold as I'm sure you all know. The hood was relatively easy to put up but it was more shower proof than waterproof. We swapped that for a 3.7 Roadster in 2017 with a mohair hood. Altogether better than the never flex but still leaked around the edges at times. Changed that for a 22MY Plus Four two years ago with the "new" hood which is a vast improvement over the earlier hoods. It is much quicker to put up and down and is very much more waterproof. We have an occasional small ingress but not much at all. The one downside is that it is noisier at speed, it drums quite a lot, which I think is down to it being bigger. Best wishes, John

We managed 19mpg today over a period of one and a half hours stop start in a deluge aiir con on and demist. We were a bit moist getting in to be fair but one hell of a traffic jam. The roof worked very well in horrible conditions however droplets from under the dash was not expected a bit worrying actually with all the electronic gizmos. Those with autos is it best to put in neutral or park in a jam can't bring myself to leave in drive. Em

I always put it in neutral and pull the hand brake, Park should only be used to park the car, apparently it is just a pencil size pin that locks into the transmission and can sheer with misuse costing many ££££££s to fix.
