On my way to MMC, I will arrive at Harwich International Port by Ferry and from there continue with the Morgan, heading for Malvern Link. Can anyone suggest places to stop by on the shortest route, for example sightseeing higlichts or to grad a quick snack? I do not intend to stay over night before arriving in Malvern Link (Cotford Hotel). Thanks!

Which route are you intending to take to Malvern and when will you be arriving at Harwich? There are a number of "shortest route" options depending on what sort of road you would like to travel on and also how long would you like to stop for sightseeing.

I will be arriving on the early morning of Tuesday, Nov 7, and intend to be at MMC not later than early afternoon. I would choose the route depending on travel density at that time. As of now, Google Maps suggests passing by/through

- Colchester
- Ipswich
- Bury St Edmunds
- Cambridge and
- Coventry.

Total distance is 341km, making it approx a 4 hour drive. No more than two stops intended - where should I go?

Cambridge is always worth a visit, but hates cars. If you're stopping for a few hours, the park and ride system is very efficient, but it's not much good for a quick pitstop.

Trying missing Colchester and going cross country to Manningtree ( b1352 via Ramsey and Mistley) for the views of the Orwell river to then join the A12 via East Bergholt with the option to stop at Flatford Mill as painted by Constable.

Krazy Horse the Morgan dealer is in Bury and has a good cafe plus exotic cars and bikes.

As John suggests, and with your itinerary, Krazy Horse is a great option. The Cafe is in the bike part which is a little separate to the Morgan part but well worth a visit. British roads and traffic are very unpredictable so any journey may take longer than Google says!

With that itinerary you won't have time to stop anywhere interesting Robert. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop at services for fuel/food etc. Google maps show this route.

IWe've done that route many times. We often stop in Cambridge. Nice place is The Orchard Tea Garden, 47 Mill WAy, Grantchester, near Cambridge, Lovely tea garden. Was a tip from Cain from Wolf Performance, as during a diner in Malvern, as that's near where they have their Business! Enjoy your trip and Malvern. Was at the Cotford as well, nice place too!!

What time is early off the boat? 06:30? your be out of port about 07:00.
Avoid Colchester (A12 roadworks) and as JohnV6 states go via Manningtree to start with.
As you probably have had breakfast on the boat then doubt you will want to stop at Krazy Horse and it might be a bit early anyway - visit on return journey?
A14 has roadworks on it around Woolpit area which can be a pain.
You will be travelling with main flow of rush hour whichever route you take.
If you take your time at the start of the journey then it will allow a lot of the rush hour traffic to clear - A14 is generally busy from Ipswich to Cambridge 07:30-09:30 in the mornings.
