Schiehallion Scooby Do

On holiday in the Hills, don’t often mention the Subaru but if this car could dream, it would dream of roads like these, it’s magic!
Couldn’t take the Morgan, needed the back seat for this jaunt.

This 1000 metre mountain is “Schiehallion” in Perthshire.

NO…….. DON’T visit Scotland…you’ll spoil it!!!!!
I might allow it however, if you have an interesting car.
Here’s a few on tour I saw today at “the House of Bruar” tourist trap.

Think these are the same crew Gordon saw on his trip over the Lecht ... think there's some 'Last Chance Saloon' thinking going on as winter draws near ... saw a lovely little Morris Tourer and two mint MGBs (one roadster and one GT) this morning as I was tootling about locally. Every dry day is an opportunity now!

I noticed something I’d completely forgotten about when I drove the Subaru, the tinted sun strip at the top of the windscreen, It’s a godsend at this time of year, you never see them nowadays. It was a chargeable extra when I specified it as I recall, you’ll notice all those tourer car have a sunstrip too

Saw these cars at Loch Fyne Oysters on our way back from the Jockmog weekend at Melfort. Mostly Belgium plates and Porsches. They seemed to enjoy power sliding out the car park with lots of revs! Apparently 70 cars on tour.

I have put a graduated one at the top of the driver's window on several cars in the last few years. Most sun visors aren't long enough to get even half way along the side window. Sun visors don't swivel on Land Rovers (at least not any of the age that I can afford!), so on the 90 it's a real boon this time of year, but a bit of a pain if you only want the window half open grin2
Nice photos Ewan - love the orange BMW smile

I fitted a graduated shade band to the Roadster, very useful when the sun is low (ignore the red circle, it was a wiper query for a TM member)

I hasn’t occurred to me to try a top-tint on my Morgan, not a bad idea since I’ve no visors.

In the meantime, here are a few more unusual touring cars spotted at Queensferry as well as another post from “visit Scotland “😂

This time, Edinburgh Zoo, surprisingly good I’d say and decent value @£50 for three inc parking.

Saw another very rare animal today, although ahead of their time, these never really sold well,
