I appreciate that this might seem a silly question, but can anyone steer me in the correct direction of the OBD port on my 2015 M3W.
It is not located under/beside the fuses as shown in my owners handbook.
The only suspect is a grey cover with a small red holding clip located on the rear side of electrics and relays panel. This would be best accessed, probably with some difficulty, from inside the cockpit.
Has anyone come across the port in this location ?
My EML light has come on (the car is running just fine) and I would like to investigate.

There is no OBD part, but there is a USB port next to the fuse block, and you can hook a PC to this and read out codes with the S&S ProTune 2 software. There are various thread discussions on this here, and a link to the software here

The USB port was changed from a micro USB connector to a USB-C connector sometime shortly before they built mine in March 2020.

The USB port is under a small cover on the ecu held on by 2 screws, top middle of the picture. So it is located where your handbook says.

Strange, I thought all vehicles sold in the EU had to be OBD2 compliant ?

I believe motorcycles (trikes) are lagging behind cars, most M3W’s are Euro 3 which don’t require OBD2, only a small percentage were built as Euro 4 which do have an OBD port. There were many issues with these cars and MMC reverted to Euro 3 with the cars going through the IVA process.

and be VERY CAREFUL removing those very small screws, they are not magnetic and if you drop one the chance of retrieving it in your lifetime is nil.
