As I am in the process of rebuilding a 1955 Plus 4 4 seat Drop Head Coupe, I'm having a good old chuckle about all the bollocks spouted by the TM experts on this car.

Well well well, what an interesting link. A 4-seater DHC on Brightwell's auction site with a hammer price of £30,000. This one is also listed on the Morganville register but marked as a "Snobmog" and owned by one John MacDonald of Durham! This is not the car at bangers though. Different side windows

Arwyn Hope you'll be putting it all right then? Oh I intend to. The other car, HDY 899 was restored by my godfather for the son of its original owner. My godfather is meticulous with his rebuilds and I have learned so much from him Arwyn

Different side windows i know, I was using it as an example of the boot on a 4 seat DHC, hence the 'here's another' comment. According to the SnobMog website, only the 4 seater had a boot. Happy to stand corrected. The main difference between the 2-seater and 4-seater Drop Head Coupe, when one disregard the obvious two rear seats, is the rear boot. The SnobMog is the only classic Morgan to ever been delivered with one.

Dixon Smith's Coupe (2 seater) has a boot. But I know the car had a factory rebuild many years ago, so whether the boot is original I'm not certain.
