With regards to prices, a 3-day ticket this year was £215. If you want grandstand seats I think they are about £50 or £60 for each day (I take a chair and sit at the trackside).

I've never used the campsite or bought any of the various "hospitality" options I'm afraid so I can't comment on those.

For someone who saw the Rolling Stones for 7 quid that's a lot ... but it is 3 days and you'd pay more to see Justin Beiber prance about the stage* for an hour so quite acceptable .... not bothered particularly about hospitality but a decent look at the cars would be good .... thinking of camping to avoid having to drive in and out each day ... just turn up see the sights and drive away when it's done ... 4 seater without the rear seats gives me a small pick-up's worth of luggage space for tents, chairs etc

A roving grandstand pass might be worth having, if you want to spend time watching the track - though it seems year by year to give access to fewer grandstands. This year the pit straight and chicane were all corporate sponsors-only. There's plenty of big screens around the event, so you're not short of good viewing.

The Saturday night bonfire party seems to be a thing :-)

Go and enjoy it K - I find a shooting stick invaluable for trackside viewing/listening

There is nowhere quite like it and value for money when you look at the kit floating around the track door handle to door handle and think about it.

I attended for the first time this year and loved it, very pleased that I had a roving grandstand pass (for the shade) and paddock pass to chat to the competitors/ mechanics . Walked around the whole circuit the first day there to get the feel and our accommodation was much closer than some of the car parks. All in all a great event - watching the BRM coming to the front against Alfettas and ERAs straight away I felt that I had my moneys worth. Having attended the FOS a couple of times this event is much more me. Even found a delightful pub not far off for an evening meal the night we did not stay late at the circuit.

I often thought I'd like to go one year, but not at that price. I can get a days racing at the Pod for £35 and a Grandstand seat is £8.......

Castle Combe Autumn Classic was £15 last month and an excellent day out with club parking close to the track.

Indeed ... I can go to my local car show for free .... but that's not the Goodwood Revival either! 🤣

For balance Glasto this year will be £355 (+ booking fee)

Something I fancy having a look at and likely a one-off so I can eat the 'pop concert' cost levels ... can't take it with you 🙂

Driving there and back from up here with a few overnighters will probably dwarf the outlay on tickets ... but I hope to do that in a wandering way that is part of the fun of the trip.

Totally agree with you about Castle Combe event. It was an excellent day out and the £15 was for two persons and I took my classic car along with my local club who had a club display stand.
