And thus quite frankly coming on site expressing yourself to me as above in such circumstances would only expose your arrogance, ignorance and lack of manners. Absolutely. Why should a M3W buyer merit better treatment than an EvaGT buyer? Much larger deposits were taken for them. They have also waited for much longer than the trike buyers, and they too have not had a single promised report since handing over their cheques two years ago. Now, just before the official presentation date of the finished car, they read that the Eva's proposed technology is to be replaced for something experimental and, because of that, there is no expectation of any news further until 2014. Often no news is good news. AFAIK, those customers don't whinge or ask for their money back. If the hundreds of EvaGT buyers can take it, why can't the M3W buyers take much less? I believe most people are aware that there are issues involved in building a new car and a potential for unanticipated problems.
The issue here is the lack of even minimal customer service.
...................
In regard to contacting the dealers, the dealers are in the same position. Their inquiries are ignored also.
In what way is there even the "lack of minimal customer service"? Can you even read the posts above? The only person who has posted of recently writing and enquiring received a response in under 12 hours? The only two people I know well who have an order outstanding are receiving info and feedback, one from the factory as his order is with them, and the other from his dealer. If you want to make a sensible factual comment fine, but please leave the amateur dramatics out of your rhetoric. And finally as for your last comment, you are suddenly the spokesman for all the Dealers??? And let's by some miracle say you have been elected into such an exalted position; as a Dealer do something about it. Ask for a comment/indication/idea and issue that statement to the numerous customers of yours that are frustrated by the delays. Unless of course all the Dealers you represent have lost all their phone numbers and the address of the factory. Lance, I hope that addresses your obviously bitter mindset, though I doubt it will have done anything to change it in any way. You so remind me of someone else To everyone else, In general, I am not 'defending' MMC and saying they are beyond reproach. To the contrary of course, in this small community I referred to earlier it would be nice for some more accurate info to be put out there. I just wanted to address the other side of what may or may not be happening, add balance and highlight both the fact that there should be a protocol for addressing concerns (not just posting on forums) and that maybe emotions were running a bit too high with certain posts IMHO of course. Have we even thought about whether MMC even know when they will have resolved these 'issues'? Though I am sensible enough to acknowledge that doesn't abdicate keeping completely schtum. Maybe all this debate will enable the dealers to get some info that they can disseminate through this medium or another?

I think everyone should take a step back. First I was told by my dealer that orders would start being fulfilled in the US in April. So far it is only January and from the response I got in under 8 hours shows me they might be on track, maybe a bit late.
My dealer did tell me not to expect delivery until December 2012, this I can accept for such a cool Toy.
In regards to having a deposit for two years on a concept car, well, maybe you should have reconsidered after the first year.
Finally, the three wheeler customers should be considered the saviors of this company due to the fact that younger buyers like myself (40), would take the chance on such a forward thinking product, which allows the four wheel crowd to spend their hard earned dollars on what I would consider vehicles too cool for me to look at. The three wheelers will put this company back n the map.
So far as I see it, Morgan is on track and if they tell me there will be a short delay I understand, but be smart people if the wait is too long then ask for your deposits back and buy a BMW.

Just as a matter of interest, what is the standard approach by dealers as regards deposits ? The deposit cheque I paid to Morgan France wasn't cashed by them until the car was actually in build.

I love it. However it gives me a slight sense of déjà vu. One of the treasured records in my old collection of vinyl is the Howling Wolf London sessions. One of the tracks performed on it by Howling Wolf (with .......Eric Clapton, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts & Stevie Winwood) is Little Red Rooster. i must be careful or I will spend the rest of the day googling this

Ref. dealers holding deposits, whilst it isn't exactly a big worry, I guess that if a dealer holding a deposit goes bust, then, effectively that deposit will be lost?
With regard to the point made about the EvaGt, I feel that it isn't that Three Wheeler buyers are asking for better treatment, but that the company should also treat Eva buyers better, frankly it is very shoddy and they are taking their customers goodwill for granted, and for all the reasons we know, there is a lot of goodwill, and things are likely to be allowed by customers that wouldn't be allowed by manufacturers of more mundane products, it still doesn't make it right or good business practice.

Certainly in the UK cheques are only valid for 6 months......that would be a problem in this case!
I've been reading all this with interest and it seems to be getting a bit out of hand in my opinion. This car was really just a concept show car less than a year ago so it would be surprising to expect it to be fully ready for production by now. Ok...so may be Morgan should have made it very clear when taking deposits that they could not commit to a delivery date at the time but I find it hard to believe that they don't keep their dealers updated with progress. At least they are focussing on getting the problems with the car sorted...the M3W workforce were back at work a week earlier than the rest of the factory.

Absolutely agree, because you can take someone's money then keep them and their dealer in the dark does not make it right and comes across as arrogant. This is counter to the century of goodwill this company has built up with it's fans.
