I went to a close mates funeral in 2010 and thought the area was 40mph it was, but one short streach was 30mph . My mind was on my mate and I was caught at 38mph ( mobile camera ) . I went to one of those talks they do and it opens your eyes to your everyday mistakes teaches you what you do not know ( yes thats correct ) What stunned me was they said tail gate drivers think its a normal to drive that way , they dont see any wrong . We could all do with a yearly refresher . One small tip when turning right at certain junctions we leave our wheels turned to the right , they pointed out anyone hitting you in the rear may send you into an oncoming car , but if your wheels had been straight you would go forward , less chance of a crash . A mate of mine did one of these courses as well and said it was a great day out.

I did a course with Dorset Police at Winfrith in 2010 and the course was very good; however there were two people there who had been caught at 34 and 35 in a 30 limit respectively!!

Some kid in a new BMW was caught doing over 150 kph on the Sydney to Newcastle Expressway (Australia) a few years back. Given he was doing more than 40 over the 110 km limit and he had only a couple of years driving experience he should have lost his licence.
Rich family, so he went to court with a high priced barrister who explained that the BMW was designed for the German Autobahn and was therefore quite safe at those speeds and so good that you didn't really notice how fast you were going.
Magistrate said he should take more care in the future, gave him a moderate fine, (a slap on the wrist, as it were) and recommended he should take an advanced driving course.
The law, of course, is equal for everyone......... Isn't it?

Kris, if you dont mind I am going to give your details to a female shrink friend of mine who teaches it to see what she thinks . Has no sense of humour and thinks everyone is insane but her . She has not tried to work me out I told her they broke the mould after me as perfection only comes once. I will be meeting her tonight if she turns up at the LDS church. You may not like the result but it will give everyone a laugh. As for Spitfire read the next bit.

This is what a Spitfire reminds me of . I was about 21 and borrowed my brothers MK1 for a date . The girl was a stunning blonde with a figure that boiled my blood . She took me into see her parents and her father was a blacksmith short in height . He shook my hand and almost broke the bones . One look and you could see he would pull me in parts . She said lets go to that lake near Wolsingham its romantic . It was and as you do what you did in those days of youth I just happened to spot she had a tight tee shirt that was low cut and a cleavage to dive for ( opps sorry mind wandering I meant to die for ) . Then while in the car hood up in flew a nice fat bumble bee and shot down her cleavage she screamed get it out . Now the mind goes into overdrive , what young man would refuse on the other hand I may get stung . But what happens if it stings her father would never belive me , the what have you been doing rang in my head . At last it flew out and away in search of more honey . I thought thank God . So every time a Spitfire is written or spoken of my mind thinks of that.
