I am looking to rebuild my old master cylinder which I kept after fitting a new one some years ago. After seeing the eye watering price of a new one can anyone tell me the part number for the Lucas/ Girling service kit. I have the fitting instruction paper which reads ZXB 103 ASAS and the first three part letters and number SP8?

You would do better to post this in the Maintenance and Servicing section, or possibly the Pre-CX cars section. smile

I probably have the part number somewhere.

To be honest though, I now send my dual circuit master cylinders away to have a stainless liner fitted and then rebuilt.

The last few I have had on the bench have either been heavily corroded or scored for some reason.

When I bought my mid 80`s +8 one of the first set of spares I collected for it was a full set of hydraulic seals. I have no idea if the MC on your Mog might be the same dual circuit type as mine but the green Lucas box identifies the kit as SP1967 also there is the name Girling on the label followed by 18/03 810 and below that 744793... Hope this helps and does not muddy the water..

Many thanks for your replies. At the age of 81 and with a wonderful car I was thinking of building a spare brake master cylinder along with my rebuilt clutch one for our 180,000 mile car. My wife and I are both motorcyclists but unfortunately my wife longer has a driving but I can state the Morgan is the best four wheel motorcycle we have owned

My wife and I are both motorcyclists but unfortunately my wife longer has a driving license but I can state the Morgan is the best four wheel motorcycle we have ever owned H278 TRP.
So perhaps I was lookin too far ahead. Kind regards to all you all owners out there.

Happy to post a pic of the label and the contents of the box if that might be of any assistance or indeed a pic of the M/C as fitted to my +8 to assist with comparison.. Whatever..(-:
Still m/cycling at 81... RESPECT, I gave up in my mid fifties when I needed glasses, bad enough in my climate dealing with a misted visor but misted glasses too... To much for me to put up with.. There are a few m/cyclists and former m/cyclists on here...(-:

Thanks Luddite, I have a kit but with missing part numbers could you send me a photos of the part number on the box you have.
I have reduced my motorcycle down from wonderful 1972 500cc Moto Guzzi Nuro Falcone Civile to a Honda Cross Cub of 110cc. Still happy as the Guzzi was just too heavy for me.
