Looking at your Duxford pictures, you must have sprinted round - last time I was there we just got all the way round before we ran out of energy. It really is a wonderful place. Thank you for sharing your pictures.

Not according to my brother who is a major aviation buff, he says: "Blackburn B-2 I would think (no sweepback to the wings, but otherwise superficially similar to a Tiger; seating was side-by-side). Importantly, there's one (the only one I believe) based at nearby Old Warden".

Lordofthewing, you could well be correct as the Tiger has more dihedral.

Well I think the shape of the rudder gives it away as a Tiger Moth based aircraft so I disagree with him, in a friendly TM manner of course.
My money is on the Jackaroo

This is what I love about TM, we have the classiest arguments on the internet, the thread starts with Rockstars and by page two, we’re on rare variants of Tiger Moth!😂 I think this might be the same aircraft pictured now landed.

I’ve chucked in a picture of the deed cat in the Nutshell just because.

We listened to the Damn Truth in the car on the way back from the airport, the song they’ve just released is pretty good.

Thanks for confirming it was a Tiger Moth derivative albeit not my "Jackaroo" guess - if I remember correctly from our visits there you can pay for an experience in her.

I like the sound of the Band, not quite as much as the dead cat mind, that made me smile knowing how well they deposit in our garden

That may well be a different aircraft on the runway though, I wasn’t paying too much attention, there’s so much to see. For me, the most significant exhibit was probably the Rudolf Hess fuselage, it’s right at the front door within touching distance for all to see, what a price of history!

In the three and a half hours we were there, we did see everything, all five hangers and the tanks but as Paul F said, it’s a sprint round and no tea breaks!

Twice the time could easily be spent there.

I've not been to Duxford for about 10 years, sounds like a revisit is called for.
