CANBUS with regard to lighting loads (bulb out) is not implemented on any trads. The indicator/hazard circuits do require a certain load though as with older cars to both function and at correct rate. BCU logic controls indicators/hazards, interior light timeout, front/rear fog light inhibit and instrument cluster dimmer on 2014 onwards trads, but none of these circuits involve the CANBUS per se.
I can confirm the rev counter is on CAN but I believe it is
just the rev counter that functions on CAN, I say this because my 2011 built Plus 4 needed the CAN sniffing before the rev counter would work when I switched from the Mk3 Ford Mondeo (Visteon) ECU used by Morgan, to a plug-n-play EMU Black standalone ECU from Ecumaster.
As it turned out the CAN protocol was early/mid 2000's Ford language, this should come as no surprise as Morgan used a Mk3 Mondeo ECU which not only controls the coils, injectors, idle valve etc etc on the Ford Duratec but also drives the rev counter. There's a feature in the EMU Black software that holds a menu of CAN protocols from BMW, Honda, Lotus and many more besides, fortunately the drop down also includes the protocol for the Mk6 Ford Fiesta.

This worked a treat

The remaining wiring seems to follow old school traditional automotive practice, the PCB dash module or at least the instruments mounted in it are driven by a Caerbont Instruments made MFU that sits by the ECU.

I was incorrectly calling the above MFU a CAN controller for a while, of course as we can see from the absence of twisted pair CAN wiring it's nothing of the sort, it's just an MFU for the instruments also supplied by Caerbont. As many have found to their cost the PCB dash module is not especially robust, it certainly doesn't seem to cope well living in the high vibration and condensation prone environment behind a Morgan dashboard

This Morgan sourced PCB helps to maintain the long standing tradition of pish poor automotive wiring the British automotive industry are globally renowned for
