The picture of the dual Spitfire -- you have managed to catch a very rare beast above it, she looks like a Jackaroo to me, a rather special passenger carrying version of a Tiger Moth. I have only seen one before at an aircraft Rally back in the 60's. Not according to my brother who is a major aviation buff, he says: "Blackburn B-2 I would think (no sweepback to the wings, but otherwise superficially similar to a Tiger; seating was side-by-side). Importantly, there's one (the only one I believe) based at nearby Old Warden". ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/24/Blackburn-B2.jpeg) A quick google search for the registration revealed that it is, indeed, a 1936 Blackburn B.2 Series 1 C/N 6300/8. a very rate rare beastie, to say the least. It is owned by the Shuttleworth Collection, so in good hands.

All true and a nice rare biplane but I still think it was the Tiger captured above the Spit by Ewan as there was one on the ground during his visit. The Rudder on this plane doesn't match the profile of the plane above the Spit.

I've not been to Duxford for about 10 years, sounds like a revisit is called for. I've not been for a lot longer than that. Perhaps we should have a small group visit?

You really should, if you like a blether, the staff all around are very knowledgeable and love to engage with the visitors. There’s also the restoration and maintenance hangers, you can watch them work and they too like to chat. i generally bring sunshine with me, it helps, but if you struggle to manage that, take a cosy coat and stylish, comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking.
I paid £59 for the two of us, that included a small charity donation they make on your behalf, it’s incredible value for money.

Haven't been there for many years used to take the twin grandchildren when they were younger. Also took the mother in law .she was stationed there during the war. It's a fabulous place to spend a few days combined with a visit to near by Old Warden. The Tiger Moth on the ground looks like a W W 2 trainer.
