I have a new plus four which should have just completed it’s build in the factory. I was wondering if anyone had done a tour between the 25th to 27th Oct, last week, have any photos of a maroon car nearing completion?

I managed to do a tour to see it but would be really interested if anyone has any additional photos.

What is the proper name for that colour ? (there must be loads of "maroon"s). I have toyed with buying a new Plus Four and have it painted in Ford Black Cherry like my late-lamented TVR Taimar. But yours looks a darker shade ?

I have a 2020 Trad, 110 Anniversary model. The colour is called Continental GT Rich Maroon, similar to your colour. I went to our local paint shop to get a touch up pot made up but they couldn't find anything with the paint code I gave them, so I contacted Morgan to confirm the paint code, which turned out to be correct. I told them the paint shop couldn't find it - they told me to get the paint shop to check the motorcycle fan (whatever that was). When I told the paint shop they explained that the fan is a book of colour samples that fan out. When they checked the fan they found my colour! I asked what it would have been originally used on they said it looked like a Kawasaki motorcycle colour!

So don't always believe the wonderful names paint colours are given. Not that it bothers me as I love the colour of my Morgan. And it's always an interesting story to tell.

I have heard of this before. Dan at Krazey Horse mentioned the same thing with one of the Bentley colours which actually links to a Lotus colour. I think colour is more important than where it’s from . I spotted one in Rutters in this colour and decided it was the one for me.

Strange how people always go for an exclusive brand colour, why not Dacia Arizona orange rather than Bentley burnt orange for example. It would have tickled my sense of humer to choose a Dacia colour. Unfortunately they don’t offer a metallic maroon.
