Just been out and about in our Six, a 15 mile bimble down to the "old ship aground" at Mineheads small harbour. Too cold for a beer, so hot chocolate instead. . I can confirm that with the top down, main air vents open and heat and fan at max, not a lot of hot air comes out from the lower vents in the footwell.. It was cold enough out to mist up all the instruments except the drivers LCD behind the wheel.

We were also out all day today in the six misted gauges all morning top down and sunshine, left hand on the wheel was warm from the angle of the vent and that was about it. Glorious car to drive on b roads my biggest gripe you only have to go through a puddle and you interior screen and mirror get's covered in road grime.I cleaned the interior glass at nearly every stop although dry all day some of our country roads are saturated, it was never like this in the trad or Aero a wind blocker might be an idea. Hi Em, funnily enough, yesterday we saw exactly the same issue with road grime blow in as you reported. We went through a couple of flooded puddle sections in the main road and immediately the internal side of the screen and the rear view mirror were covered in a fine mist. Have not see this before.. Interestingly in the summer I was caught out on the motorway when it started to rain with a moderate drizzle. The top was down and sidescreens were up, we did not have any "blow in" occur. I wondered if the issue is caused by standing water being blown up by the road wheels near the hedge and then drawn in at the sides by the cars speed flow partial vacuum?. On the motorway we had plenty of space around the car and no blow in?.

On my 3 year old Plus Four (a very early one), a bit of decent welly (good high revs) after about ten minutes gets the heater going instantly. It is slow, I do agree, and on a winter day with the hood down, you could do with some nearly instant heat. Lets see if MY23 has improved this.

My 2020 plus 4 heater is no where near as good as my old GDI. I wondered if it was because the BMW engine is more efficient?

My 2022 Plus Four heater is better than the one I had on my 2017 4/4 and that wasn't bad. The Plus Four heated seats though are certainly an upgrade on those fitted to the 4/4.
