Agreed, I assume the company had the name well before it got its current meaning. Yes Chris ISIS (Thames) was the river he rowed on whilst at Oxford University, you probably know Tcherek is his step daughter. Now known as Morgan Cars USA, known for decades as Isis Imports or Isis Motors. Boat named in honour of the late Bill Fink.

The California Morgan Importer was also called Isis, as the founder Bill Fink named it after the river from his time as an exchange student at Oxford. Peter ... same firm ... and re-named now I believe.
I read the article on the LS2 powered trad ... modified rear end but no mention of a non-standard front .... as the handling was described as excellent even on the track then that is pretty impressive for such an old setup on a beast of a modified car. If it is stock (or SSL version or some such tweak) then I doubt my crossflow will trouble it, which is nice to know

What confuses me is it says the Auction has 43 days to start so I would not expect any bids yet, so maybe dummy bids to test it? I find it hard to believe anyone is rich enough to spend $7Million on a number plate.

I'm sure there are numerous people that would consider £7m to be loose change and more than happy to splash it on a numberplate so they can show off their wealth, Personally, I'd build a hospital, but that's probably why I'll never be a millionaire
