Rocker Switches for our MOGs are getting very far and in-between. The people you need to contact is S N G Barratt the Jag people (last year they brought out Holden) . But the switch you need is for the Jensen Interceptor. This past year i have had fun and games, looking for the correct switch. The mini ones are two small. The E type jags don't fit, trust me. They look like they should! In the end i went to the S N G Barratt in person and the salesperson went up and down stairs looking for the correct one and size. Unfortunately I'm currently at work and don't have my paperwork to hand. S N G Barratt currently have the rights to sale and make new Lucas parts. The salesman told me anything you see in a Green Lucas box is either 'old new stock' or rubbish stuff from China! The new Lucas stuff that S N G Barratt make is in Red boxes. I also brought a Lucas screen washer for the MOG. Hope this helps.

If you are still struggling please PM me and I will dig out the paperwork which has the code on it.

Regards

Dave

Thanks to Image, Arwyn and DaveK, I have got switches to sort myself out.

My approach to S N G Barratt was not very fruitful, as DaveK anticipated they passed me across to Holden, (their retail seller of non-Jaguar stuff), who said they had:

35870 Light switch (on back order and without the symbol/engraving, so DaveK is on to something about Jensen)
31780 Toggle switch, (not sure why that was suggested as it does not match anything)
39846 Hazard switch (low stock but an exact match)

Many thanks to all who helped.

Glad to hear you have found the switches Jeremy.

Did you come across the 2 speed heater fan: 39119A/38723 available anywhere?

My switch is down to one speed, that is the only one I need.

Thanks.

While we are on the subject of switches, may I turn the subject to knobs?

I purchased a new heater valve control knob for my 4/4 a few months ago. it was a direct fit and works well.

No, but a mini based source is suggested by CooperMan, (although DaveK says they will be too small), at the price quoted, it might be worth a punt, https://www.minispares.com/search/classic/switch%20.aspx, £16.20 inc VAT.

The lads at Minispares in Potters Bar are quite helpful and may measure you one from stock, my Mini predates rockers so I can't offer the dims

Thanks for the links,

The prospect of having to splash out £16.20, led me to remove the 2 speed heater switch and also the 2 position head light switch as a reference.

After dismantling, cleaning and reassembling, the 2 speed heater fan switch now works as it should and even more remarkably the headlight switch that I took the risk of dismantling, somehow went back together and works as well as it ever did.

Thanks to this thread for spurring me into action! smile
